Grey's Death???

What has happened to me? At one time I was never into drama shows, and now it seems that those are the only big things I watch. Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break, House, Scrubs, Smallville, and American Idol are all my guilty pleasures. But I don't have the time to talk about all of them, so let's just go with Grey's Anatomy for now.

So one day I was watching Grey's Anatomy and started getting bored...so I decided to make a little diagram of all the relationships & sex-capades all the main characters have had. Other than being born, I also wanted to see what "loose ends" that the show hasn't really made a big focus on. So let me explain the diagram (a little warning: whenever you see a triangle, that means the couple conceived a child).

If you've been watching the show, the diagram would make sense, however if you haven't I may explain later and hopefully it's self explanatory. The only things I want to really talk about are the "loose ends". Why? Because they may come up later on in the series.

Let's start with Meredith. Not much to say about her; she dated Finn for awhile but then decided to be with Derek. Just because she chose him (and the dog is dead) doesn't mean he will never make a return (this is a drama/soap opera-ish kind of show you know).

Izzy has a child that she gave up for adoption when she was in high school. Now there are two characters that can be flying by: Her daughter, and her High School Boyfriend (HS BF). Though she never had sex with Denny, I still noted the two because they had a strong relationship.

Recently we were given the reason of why Addison left Mark in New York...because he had a fling with a girl named Charline. There we go, yet another name to add onto the list of loose ends.

Now let's go to the older folks of the show, let's start with Meredith's Father. After getting the divorce with Ellis, he married again to a woman named Susan (I believe that's her name). With Susan, he had two daughters: One is at Harvard studying medicine and the other married a man and conceived his first grand daughter. So there we go, five characters to add onto the list: Susan, Harvard Daughter, Married Daughter, Son In-Law, and the Grand Daughter.

The other "main" loose end to think of:
-Adele and the Mystery Man. After Richard was hard pressed on his work, she left him, and is now in the arms of another man. Who knows, we just may see him later on
-Christina and Preston. Sure they are a happy couple, but no big drama (other than the arm spasms) has happened to their lives.
-Miranda Baily and Husband.
-Joe & Walter...minor characters but I still think they needed to be noticed.
-Erica Hahn she's the only "single gal" out there...and I predict that she will intertwine in the Christina/Preston relationship (sometimes opposites attract).

Ok, that's enough of analyzing, now let's talk about some recent events. Last week, this week (yesterday), and next week are a special three-part episode that is said to change the story (good or bad). There were a lot of rumors heading around the net the other day such as:
1. Two main characters are going to die in the second and third episode.
2. Sometime this season the character Denny Duquette will return for at least two episodes. Not as a dream or flashback, so I'm guessing as a Ghost or Angel.
3. These three episodes will either make the show better or worse (no in between).

Last week (long story short) one of the fairies' boilers' exploded and many people needed to be hospitalized. Merideth, Baily, Izzy, Alex, and George went to the scene of the accident first, while the rest of the cast stayed at the hospital. George found an injured woman, brought her to the hospital and went on a frantic search to find her 7 year old boy (she wouldn't agree to start the surgery until she knew he was ok). Alex fished unburied a pregnant woman from heavy rubble and went back to the hospital with her. Izzy went onto the automobile loading section of the fairy where a man trapped under a car needed attention. Baily (I think) attended to some people (nobody important) and headed back to the hospital while Derek arrived at the scene. Merideth found a lost girl (she wouldn't speak from all the shock) and tried to find her mother. Along the way she found a man that needed attention near the docks. While tending to his wounds he accidentally knocked her over and she fell into the water.

Everybody else in the hospital (Mark, Addison, Christina, Preston, Richard, and Callie) were doing minor jobs like stitches (and whatnot), gathering/updating information, and trying to make everybody calm throughout all the chaos of the worried family and friends.

Yesterday night's episode was pretty interesting (of course I'll try to make it as short as possible). At the scene, Izzy had to drill a few holes into her patient's head to relieve some of the pressure to his brain (all the while receiving instructions how to do so over the phone by Richard and Mark). Derek found Meredith's pale body and did CPR on her throughout the whole ambulance ride...

At the hospital, George lied to the woman saying that he has found her son (when in fact he doesn't know if he's alive or not, nor does he know where he is). Baily (doing operation on that woman) said that you must find that boy before her operation is over. Alex was being bombarded by questions from the angry mob of people waiting for a new list of casualty names. His information is always outdated so the mob grew more frustrated. That's when he got the idea of taking a polaroid camera and taking pictures of everybody and separating them into three groups: Just came in, In Operation, & Dead and asked everybody to please identify as many as these people as possible. George continues his search and finds out that Callie is doing an operation on a 7 year old boy. He checks up on her, and thankfully that boy was one and the same. That's when everybody's beepers when off...Meredith has arrived to the hospital. All the main residencial doctors arrived to help Meredith's case while her friends, Derek, and Mark all wait in the hallway.

Doing everything they could, Meredith flatlined and the whole screen went white. Then we see a rosy-cheeked Meredith wake up from the table. She looks to her left and finds the Bomb Squad member that died from the explosion and said "Am I dead?", and then behind her Denny Duquette said "You go that right sweetie". Then we get a glimps of all three in the room. End.

So I suppose the rumors were true and I was right about Denny Duquette. A main character did (technically) die, and Denny Duquette was on this episode. So there's not much to say that next week's episode, Meredith will be revived (come on, she can't permanentally die, she's the main protagonist), and some other character will die (according to the rumor). Of course Denny (or the Bomb Squad guy) will say something like "it's not your time yet". But there are two questions still up in the air:
1. If Denny and the Bomb Squad guy was there, why wasn't George's father there too? I asked this question to my sister and she said it was because she wasn't as close to his father than she was with those two. I suppose that's a good enough answer, but I still think he should appear (maybe he will in the third installment).
2. If the rumors are true, who's the second death? None of the other doctors are in great danger, so my only guess is somebody returns to the scene and something horrible happens to them. Which doctor though? I have no idea. Which doctor would I like to see go? Mark Sloan.

Discuss!
